Hi there, I’m Abigail, but most people just call me Gale. I also often find myself being called the artist with the hat, or anything else related to my iconic black fedora.

So…who am I?

Stating the obvious, I’m a maker of many things. I’m the kind of person you can count on to never be bored, because I’ll always find something to do or make to keep myself busy and entertained. Whether that’s building suits of armor out of foam, creating merchandise for my favorite shows, exploring a new material, writing stories, studying film, or drawing something in my sketchbook, I always have some idea in my mind I can’t wait to explore!

I’m a big fan of Renaissance faires! My friends and I attend the Oregon Renne Faire every year!

I’ve been dancer since I was 5 years old and still dance recreationally today!

What’s my story?

I was born and raised in a suburb of Portland called Canby, and have been a proud Oregonian my whole life. My parents and grandparents raised me to be the kind of person who isn’t afraid to use their imagination to create fun experiences and be open to trying new things, which is what has led me down the creative career path.

What started as childhood me collecting and admiring the wrappers for candy was what sparked my interest in designing for packaging. What started as admiring the artwork in childhood books became a passion for illustration, and creating stories of my own. Eventually, the two intertwined, creating the work you see today!

I now reside in the Ashland / Medford area of Southern Oregon, where I work as a designer, freelancer, and small business owner selling my art in person at conventions and online!

Now for some fun facts!

I have three cats, Theoden, Fitz, and Jemma! All three are exotic shorthairs!
